Long Do I Have to Wait for My First Sale? On average, the first sale takes one month, give or take. If your items are unique, well photographed, and you post every day, it may be sooner. But for something common like jewelry it might be a little longer. Yes, there are cases of people selling their first item within minutes, and then waiting weeks for the second sale. Or, having a first sale six months into it, and now selling lots every day. But as soon as you get your first sale, you'll soon be wondering when the second sale will come, and then the third, and then you'll want one every day. "How long until I'm established," you'll ask. Like any good addiction, the more you get, the more you want.
